Access Lenawee 72-Hour Releases

A Lenawee County 72 hour release list would collect county jail exits across a three-day period. No official rolling list is published online, but the wider interval can still be requested from Sheriff records with clear start and end points. It is useful when checking who was released in the last 72 hours after several days have passed. Court entries and custody alerts add context, while the jail record supplies the local release event. Weekend or holiday timing never creates a promised early exit, and movement to another authority must stay distinct from release to the community.

Lenawee 72-Hour Release Window

The Lenawee County Sheriff publishes no public inmate roster, release archive, or rolling three-day view. The official search through Sheriff and Corrections pages, county forms, documents, sitemap, and targeted site results found no Sheriff jail app either. As a result, there is no official URL where a reader can change a filter to 72 hours. There is also no published field set, refresh schedule, image field, or online retention rule.

A three-day release window is still a valid records interval. It must be defined. Use exact start and end timestamps, including the date, time, and local time zone. That avoids a moving request whose meaning changes from the moment it is written to the moment the Sheriff receives it. Ask for an existing release log if one is maintained, not for staff to compile a new public feed.

No online lag can be measured: With no visible Lenawee release feed, there is no documented drop-off time, update delay, or three-day archive to characterize.

Check Lenawee Three-Day Releases

The proper sequence depends on the question. A caller checking one named person needs a prompt custody answer. Someone seeking every adult release in a fixed period needs Sheriff records. Court and notification systems can support both tasks, but neither is the county release ledger.

  1. Write the full three-day interval with start and end timestamps.
  2. For one person, call Lenawee County Jail at 517-265-4400 and ask whether the person remains there or left to another custodian.
  3. Review the relevant D02A District and C39 Circuit MiCOURT case for a bond, order, sentence, or disposition.
  4. Search MI-VINE for a reported release, transfer, or other custody event tied to the person.
  5. Submit a Sheriff FOIA request for existing release transactions in the defined interval.

Do not substitute OTIS for a jail-only booking. OTIS covers Michigan prisoners, parolees, probationers, and recently discharged MDOC cases. It expressly excludes people whose custody was only in a county jail. Use OTIS only if the event belongs to Gus Harrison or another MDOC facility.

The Jail Releases: 24 Hours route is narrower when the event is believed to have happened today. Its phone-first workflow also covers pickup and bond-out logistics.

Lenawee 72-Hour Record Fields

Because no public Lenawee feed exists, these are requested record fields, not columns promised on a website. Ask only for fields relevant to establishing the custody event. The Sheriff decides what existing records can be supplied and what Michigan law requires the office to redact.

FieldWhy it matters in a three-day interval
Name and booking numberIdentifies the adult booking and prevents a same-name mix-up.
Admission or booking dateLinks the exit to the correct custody episode.
Release date and timePlaces the recorded transaction inside or outside the fixed interval.
Release typeMay show bond, court order, time served, sentence expiration, or another category.
Receiving-custody categoryDistinguishes a community exit from transfer to another authority.

A release type should come from the originating record. Outside pages may use their own terms, keep data for an unknown period, or fail to correct a transfer. None becomes a Sheriff fact merely because it appears online. The fixed interval also does not authorize a request for private identifiers, medical details, protected victim data, or unrelated personal facts.

Lenawee Weekend Release Records

A 72-hour interval can span Friday through Monday and reduce the risk of checking only one calendar day. It does not prove that the Sheriff processes releases on a set weekend schedule. No official Lenawee source states a weekend or holiday early-release rule, a fixed exit hour, or a guaranteed processing duration.

Bond timing can also cross office-hour boundaries. A court entry may show the amount or order, yet payment and jail processing still follow. The county FAQ sends after-hours cash bond payments to Door 138 behind the jail. It tells the payer to bring the exact amount plus applicable booking fees, but it does not publish the fee amount. Call for the current total and status before travel.

For a person being picked up, Door 138 in the Trestle Park area is the official release point. That physical location is not a release search channel. Arrival there does not confirm that the person has cleared all steps or that another hold will not change the destination.

Note: Define the three-day period by clock time, not just three calendar labels, when the exact inclusion of an overnight release matters.

Request Lenawee Three-Day Records

The Sheriff-specific route begins at the Lenawee County FOIA request hub. Sheriff Records accepts phone requests at 517-263-0524 extension 2031 and fax requests at 517-265-2284. Mail or walk-in requests go to 405 N Winter Street, Adrian, MI 49221. Hours are Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and Friday, 8:00 a.m. to noon.

Useful wording asks for records sufficient to identify adult releases from Lenawee County Jail between the stated timestamps. List booking number, release date and time, release type, and receiving-custody category if each is recorded and disclosable. Request a machine-readable existing release log if maintained. Expressly allow exempt information to be redacted. If that list or format does not exist, narrow the request to records containing release transactions rather than demanding a new report.

The office may assess lawful fees, redact exempt parts, partly grant the request, deny with grounds, or state that no responsive format exists. No fixed Lenawee fee for a release list is published. Ask for a cost estimate and electronic delivery. Michigan FOIA normally provides five business days for the response, plus one written extension of up to ten business days. Delivery can take longer than the response.

A denial should state its legal basis and appeal rights. A partial grant may still supply the nonexempt release facts needed for the interval. If cost is the issue, shorten the time span or remove fields that do not establish the custody event. A three-day request should not demand a narrative about why each person left. Existing transaction fields and the relevant court order provide a clearer record while respecting the rule that an agency need not create a new analysis.

The official Sheriff Records Division page shown below supplies the record contact and office-hour fallback for the absent 72-hour feed.

That office route can produce a durable response for the defined interval, subject to existing-record and disclosure limits.

Lenawee Court Release Context

Lenawee has two direct MiCOURT paths. The 2A District Court portal covers misdemeanor matters and lower-court criminal activity. The 39th Circuit Court has original felony jurisdiction. A case may have entries in both stages, so search the portal that matches the case and check the other when the procedural history is unclear.

Review the name, case number, charge, bond or order entry, disposition, sentence, and register of actions. These entries can explain why release was authorized. They do not record the exact moment someone cleared the jail. MiCOURT also warns that its display is not the official court record. Obtain a clerk copy when the order or disposition itself must be authoritative.

The 39th Circuit Court source shown below identifies the felony court route that may explain part of a release trail.

Pair that court context with the Sheriff release transaction rather than reading an order date as the physical exit time.

Lenawee Release Status Differences

A three-day list request must preserve the event type. A community release after bond, a completed jail term, and a transfer can all take a person out of Lenawee jail custody. Only the first two fit the ordinary meaning of leaving custody for the community. Another warrant or detainer can send the person to a different authority.

Record signalWhat it supportsWhat it does not prove
Sheriff release transactionRecorded date, time, and type for the jail episodeFreedom from all later custody
MiCOURT orderLegal action related to bond, sentence, or dispositionThe time jail processing ended
MI-VINE eventAn agency-reported custody changeA certified county release record
OTIS parole statusDeparture from MDOC prison into supervisionA county-jail release or final discharge

A person still held by the jail remains in county custody. A released person usually leaves a live roster, but Lenawee has no public roster from which to infer that change. A parolee has left prison but still serves the sentence under supervision. A discharged MDOC person is no longer under MDOC jurisdiction for that sentence. Each label belongs to its own custodian.

MI-VINE works best when registration occurs before the expected event. Preserve the person’s name or ID and the notice details, then use the Sheriff transaction when an exact type or time is required. If a result does not appear, check spelling, the agency scope, a possible transfer, and the court trail. Do not jump from no match to a release conclusion.
